How can Soul Readings Be an Ongoing Practice?
As I thought about how to explain Soul Readings as ongoing practices, a very simple answer came to my mind: discipline. That same discipline in anything we set our minds to, whether it’s a goal or a task, because there has to be something which we constantly come back to and settle into in order to see anything through. Effective use of the intuitive insight requires a structured intention, as do the most mundane tasks.
As an avid yogi, one of the continual challenges I’ve had is focusing on my breath while holding a pose and something to sit more deeply into. During my years practicing, I don’t know if dedicating my breath has become harder to do, or more freeing, though.
We can create an ongoing practice in Soul Readings, and spirituality in general, through the ways we show up for ourselves and follow the tug of the spiritual rope we always feel connected to. This requires us to meet ourselves with dedication to openness and curiosity, to wondering what is coming up next, and who we are becoming from an intuitive perspective. It takes time, pausing, silence, and constant check-ins. There isn’t much that is more intentional and meditative, or disciplined, than that.
We don’t have to question whether we are doing it right. It’s different from school or wondering if we are making someone else proud, it’s about the encouragement and clarity that a reading can offer to us. The ongoing practice of Soul Readings can provide clarity that we are following the correct course, direction, and path to allow ourselves to unfold and develop into who we truly are as spiritual beings.
Readings can offer a sense of peace, while also giving us a sense of encouragement that we are doing the right thing. There’s so much noise in this world that it’s hard to remember who we belong to, and what we are truly capable of. Readings can offer us a reminder of our spiritual path when the discipline gets hard or messy or the business of life gets in the way. They can be a way to find supportive perspective and a wonderful way of remembering who we are coming home to at the end of the day: ourselves.
